What is Preference?

What is Preference?

Hello – do you like things?

First things first, you have a preference. It tells you stuff. It is irrational, and there is no right or wrong. Sure, there are certain ‘techniques’ and ‘processes’ that yield different outcomes in cooking, but as far as TASTE goes what you taste is, well, what you taste.

Preference can be affected by any number of things. We will go over a few, but first, please understand that preference factors DO NOT stop at the edge of the plate.

  • Saltiness
  • Smell
  • Posture
  • Ambience
  • Visual Preparation

So, as we begin to sum this up, OUR mission is to educate you about your preference. To do this, we ask lots of questions. We encourage self-awareness when you consume food because FOOD IS EMOTIONAL.

Cut scene: you’ve watched the summer olympics before, right? Track and field stuff? The 100m sprinters are all lined up. They have headphones in blasting their pump-up songs. They are stretching in their sweatsuits. All of this preparation is geared toward their event, and every bit of preliminary focus affects the quantified energy they will have for this one moment. We want to capture a moment like this with you – but with PIZZA.
